When I first saw this project I thought, oh, should I send in my $300 shoes? They have a story, and maybe I could have found a pair at a thrift store that was close. But I rarely wear them.
2017. It bought them on a whim at Von Maur, in Omaha, to go with the full length dress I was wearing to the Joslyn Art Museum Gala. They didn’t feel bad when I tried them on, but wearing them all night did a number on my toes. I just wore them for special occasions after that. I don’t even remember the brand.
Even though I did wear them a few times, they killed my toes. Having a glass shoe to remember those special occasions will be better than the pain in my toes of wearing them.
