Clown Shoes at the Museum!

Ringling Brothers Museum, Sarasota Florida

After dropping off the shoes for the gallery staff to install, I had a few days to take in the sights around Sarasota. My first stop was The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, and Tibbals Learning Center and Circus Museum.

It is easy to lose a day to the museum, and I highly recommend visiting, especially if you can catch it on a nice day. There is a lot of walking, and so much to take in outside as well as inside.

My visit to the Circus Museum was incredibly exciting. Although I was traveling alone, I had to bend the ear of a docent, who, as it turns out is a fan of glass art and interested in learning to work with glass himself. Why did I bend his ear? Because I had no one else to share my excitement with when I stumbled on shoes that looked just like Lolly’s!
