I’ve been making cowboy boots since the first year of the project. With this boot, I opted not to decorate the wheat pattern because I wanted to try molding it differently than past boots. I also knew that this boot was going to represent an experience I had when sharing my shoes.
In 2024, I attended the Glass Coast Weekend, and on the last day, a guest came up to look at the shoes. She She noticed the boot and said, “You know what you should do…” and continued to explain to me how she uses dried grasses in old cowboy boots in her home as decoration.
